At Shanthi Priya Physiotherapy Clinic, we bring the best of global physiotherapy practice home to Madurai. With more than 20 years of experience in India and Singapore, our mission is to provide care that is professional, personal, and progressive.
Since 2017, we have guided over 10,000 patients on their journey of recovery — from athletes overcoming injuries to elders regaining independence after stroke, from professionals dealing with posture-related pain to mothers seeking safe prenatal and postnatal care.
Physiotherapy has changed enormously in the last two decades, and so has my practice. I began my career treating conditions like polio and leprosy, before moving into ICU, neonatal and cardiac care, and later expanding into stroke recovery and sports rehabilitation. Over the last decade in Singapore, I also saw the rise of lifestyle-related health problems, which gave me new perspective on prevention as much as cure.
I take pride in being able to continuously upgrade my practice to meet the changing demands of healthcare and the physiotherapy profession. Shanthi Priya Clinic grows with me, equipped with advanced facilities and a modern gym to support recovery at every stage.
This clinic carries the name of my sister, Shanthi Priya, who lived for 19 years and passed away in 1998 in a road traffic accident. It stands in her memory — a place of healing, care, and commitment.
We are not simply hands-on, and we do not follow research blindly. Our approach is about integration — understanding what research truly means, and applying it in a way that makes sense for patients in Madurai. International studies guide us, but every treatment plan is adapted to the local context, the individual, and the real-world challenges our patients face.
At Shanthi Priya, physiotherapy begins with clear diagnosis, education, and genuine care. This is not just therapy by the book. This is therapy that listens, adapts, and works.
Accurate diagnosis
The right diagnosis is like a map. It guides the treatment plan and prevents wasted time on repeated cycles of pain and ineffective remedies.
Patient understanding
Recovery starts when patients understand their condition. There is no overnight cure. Lasting change comes from addressing the root cause and steadily restoring strength.
Compassionate care
Injuries bring both physical pain and emotional stress. A physiotherapist must acknowledge both, treating the person as well as the problem.
